“One of my proudest moments was having the opportunity to work at the Georgia Aquarium,” said Molly McClure, a soon-to-be twenty-one year-old Lilburn native and Georgia State biology major who’s been coming to Stone Mountain since she was probably five or six. On top of a mountain seems an unlikely place to meet a lifeguard who loves marine mammals and who dreams of one day swimming with great white sharks in South Africa or Australia, much less walking a dog named Diesel (since dogs a: aren’t marine and b: pets officially aren’t allowed on the walk-up trail--but are welcome on other trails). Diesel, a three-and-a-half year-old pitbull boxer mix (maybe), was rescued from a kill shelter here in Georgia when he was six-months-old by Molly’s sister, Caitlin, and her roommates.
