You might say the law was running from me at the mountain the other day, when DUI attorney Kimberly Berry jogged by. I stopped to take a picture of her shirt and decided to quiz her about her work.
"What are the top five professions that would be the worst for a DUI?" I asked the Smokerise resident. She's originally from Bethpage, NY.
Many of us can probably guess these, but as Labor Day weekend is upon us, with its increase in drunk drivers and DUI checkpoints, here are the ones she mentioned offhand, in no particular order: teacher, anyone with a CDL, pilot, and anyone with high-level security clearance.
"Do DUI lawyers get DUIs?"
"Sometimes, yes, but it's not good for business," she laughed.
"So, if you're in the private sector, drink up!" I joked back.
But call a cab or SafeRideAmerica, which will drive you _and your car_ home!
Or else call Kimberly Berry.
