Karuna Kristjanson, originally from Mizoram, India, is a licensed clinical social worker and runs Red Lotus Recovery for recovering addicts. She has been coming to visit Stone Mountain, which she says is like her mother, for the last twelve years. A proud mountain devotee, she recharges here after dealing with all the stress and chaos that comes from her professional life.

Sixty-one years after Martin Luther King, Jr. proclaimed, “Let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia,” a diverse community thrives atop Stone Mountain, a mountain still considered emblematic of Old South racism by some. This website humbly attempts to illustrate freedom ringing at long last and to celebrate all of the new faces that are reclaiming the mountain.
